Abandoned Community Tour

The strangely alluring sight of man's works rejoining nature.

Join us as we head north out of St. Lewis Sound by boat to Murray’s Harbour, a former fishing community on the shore of the Labrador Sea. Learn about other fishing villages on the way, as well as the radar station at St. Lewis that was part of the Pine Tree Line during the Cold War. Come ashore with us at Murray’s Harbour for a walk around the abandoned community and a mug-up on the beach.

We suggest that you bring a warm water resistant jacket, good boots, hat, gloves, camera and binoculars.
